We love Warhammer games, at least some of them. Now the question is: what Warhammer games are preferred by the guys who develop the Warhammer games?
I’ve decided to investigate this matter, and here are the answers. Some devs were brief but still we can get the picture.
Released: Warhammer Quest; Warhammer 40 000: Deathwatch
I’m Ben Murch, Creative Director over here at Rodeo. To answer your question about favourite mobile games first. I’m a huge fan of Blood Bowl. I used to play it when I was younger….in fact I was in a few leagues. It straddles that fantastic gap of the Warhammer World, and not taking itself too seriously. So, when that came out on iPad, I was the first to download it. I remember playing that on most of the flights I took that year, just because it’s so easy to pick up and get back into.
In the office, we’re all big fans of Talisman. It’s a fantastic board game, and the mobile version really takes that and runs with it. It’s something that you can just keep coming back to, because every game is different. I love that the dev team has stuck with it, and keeps pumping content out. Brilliant!
Finally, it’s not out yet, but I’ve had a play already. Eisenhorn is shaping up to be a very nice title. It looks fantastic and plays just as well, so I’ll definitely be picking that up when it comes out next year.
Released: Talisman Digital Edition, Talisman: The Horus Herecy
We vote Space Hulk.
Released: Space Wolf
First place goes to Warhammer Quest, it’s very nostalgic to the good old RPGs, Then goes Space Hulk — that’s classic, should we say more? Third place took Snotling Fling — it’s funny and entertaining. And we must mention Warhammer 40K: Armageddon for the scale and epicness.
Turbo Tape Games
Released: Warhammer: Arcane Magic
Our favorite mobile Warhammer App is Warhammer: Talisman Digital Edition.
Tin Man Games
Released: Legacy of Dorn: Herald of Oblivion
Neil Rennison, Creative Director: In answer to your question, my favourite mobile WH game is Warhammer Quest! It’s beautifully produced and captures the essence of the license really well!
Released: The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault
Some of our favourite mobile games focusing on Warhammer are: Warhammer 40,000 Carnage and Warhammer 40,000 Freeblade.
Released: Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan
Favourite game? Will say Warhammer Quest because it’s the true adaptation of the original rules and because we played the miniature game a lot. Freeblade is a nice game too, it really is beautiful.
So those are the answers, and it looks like Warhammer Quest is the favourite of the guild. Let’s hope for the sequel!
